Brochures
Tell the whole story in one fold.
Room for what you do, why you are different, and how to reach you. A brochure people keep instead of toss, in the fold that fits your message.

A Z-fold brochure creates three equal panels in a zig-zag. Open flat to reveal a trifold layout, close to a compact self-contained piece that fits in a #10 envelope or a brochure rack. The Z-fold is the most envelope-friendly fold, making it ideal for direct mail without an outer envelope. 100LB Gloss or Matte Book stock, 4/4 full color both sides, no coating. Two flat sizes: 5.5×8.5" (folds to 2.75×8.5", fits standard racks) and 8.5×11" (folds to 3.67×8.5" for larger panels). Print as few as 25 for a small event or office campaign, or order 2,500+ for a regional mailing. Real estate agents use them for neighborhood farm mailers. Home service companies use them for seasonal promotions. Restaurants use them as takeout inserts. Any product or service that needs to tell a three-chapter story: problem, solution, why us.

Frequently asked questions
Which fold type should I choose?
Tri-fold (letter fold) is the most common for NJ sales leave-behinds. It fits a #10 envelope and standard rack displays. Bi-fold (half fold) is better for menus, price sheets, and photo-heavy presentations. Z-fold is ideal for step-by-step processes: service guides, installation instructions, maps. If you're not sure, our design team can look at your content and recommend the right fold.
What are the exact panel dimensions for a tri-fold?
A standard 8.5" × 11" tri-fold has three panels, each approximately 3.67" wide when folded. The panel sizes are slightly unequal by design: the front panel is 3.67", the middle is 3.67", and the back (innermost) panel is 3.63" to allow it to tuck inside cleanly. Our templates account for this automatically. You can request the exact template dimensions from our team.
Do you score before folding?
Yes, always. We score first, then fold. This prevents cracking on any paper stock, including 100lb Gloss Cover which is the most prone to cracking when folded without scoring. It's a step some online printers skip to save time. We don't.
What paper stock should I use for brochures?
100lb Gloss Text is the standard for most marketing brochures. It feels premium without being rigid and displays color beautifully. For a real estate listing leave-behind or a high-end services brochure, upgrade to 100lb Gloss Cover. It feels more substantial and holds up better when handled repeatedly. For medical, spa, or hospitality brochures in high-touch environments, ask us about laminated options.
What's the minimum quantity for brochures?
Our minimum is 250 brochures. Most NJ businesses order 500–2,500 for a leave-behind campaign. The per-piece price drops significantly at 500, 1,000, and 2,500. It's worth reviewing the full pricing table before you commit to a quantity.
What file format do you need?
PDF is preferred. 300 DPI, CMYK, with 0.125" bleed on all sides and all fonts embedded. Keep text at least 0.25" away from fold lines. Images can cross folds, but text straddling a fold is very hard to read. Our free design review checks every brochure for this and other fold-related issues before printing.
How long does printing take?
3–5 business days for flat products, 4–5 days for scored and folded brochures (folding adds one finishing step). Rush orders are available. Call us at 908.232.7770. We print brochures for NJ real estate agents, healthcare practices, and home services companies every week.
How much do brochures cost?
L&B Printing brochures start at $75 for 250 tri-fold pieces on 100lb Gloss Text and scale down to under $0.10 per piece at 2,500. Bi-fold and z-fold are priced similarly. Every order includes free scoring and folding, free shipping, and a free design review.
Why order brochures from L&B instead of an online printer?
L&B Printing has been producing folded marketing materials for NJ businesses since 1974. The most common brochure failure, and the most expensive, is cracking along the fold on coated stock. We score every brochure before folding, which online print factories often skip. Our free design review also checks panel alignment, content across fold lines, and whether your layout will work before a single sheet goes through press.
What if something is wrong with my order?
The L&B Promise: if we make a printing error on our end, we'll reprint your order at no charge. In practice, it rarely gets that far. Our free design review process catches virtually every issue before we go to press. We stand behind every job. Call us at 908.232.7770 if you ever have a concern.
