16pt cardstock with a high-gloss UV coating on both sides. The extra thickness keeps the hanger from bending or tearing on the doorknob, and the UV coating protects colors through rain, humidity, and summer heat. What's the difference between door hangers and rack cards?
Door hangers are 3.5×8.5" with a die-cut hole at the top, designed to hang on door knobs for neighborhood canvassing. Rack cards are the same width but displayed vertically in counter racks and lobby displays (hotels, waiting rooms, visitor centers). Both are high-impact local marketing tools for NJ home services, restaurants, and real estate.
How far in advance of the hole punch should I keep my design?
Keep all critical text and logos at least 0.75" below the center of the hole punch area. Our door hanger templates have this clearance built in. If you upload your own artwork, our free design review will flag anything too close to the cut or hole before we print.
What paper stock works best for door hangers?
14pt Gloss is the standard for door hangers. It's sturdy enough to hang without bending and the gloss finish holds up outdoors briefly. For pieces left in high-moisture environments (rain-exposed door frames), 16pt Gloss UV provides extra protection.
What's the minimum quantity?
