What's the difference between 6×9 and 9×12 folders?
The 6×9 holds business cards, USB drives, folded 8.5×11" sheets, and smaller brochures, great for compact sales kits and proposal packages. The 9×12 Glueless holds full-size 8.5×11" documents flat without folding, ideal for full proposals, reports, and legal presentations. The 9×12 uses a clever fold design that eliminates the need for adhesive while still holding contents securely.
Can I add business card slits?
Yes. Business card slits are available on both sizes and are strongly recommended for client-facing kits. The slits hold two standard business cards (one for you, one for a colleague or referral). Specify at order time.
Gloss or Matte coating: which is better?
Gloss is the more traditional choice: vivid color reproduction, professional sheen, makes photography look sharp. Matte creates a sophisticated, understated feel that photographs well and doesn't show fingerprints. For financial and legal presentations, Matte is often more appropriate. For marketing and sales kits, Gloss is more common. Both look professional.
What's the minimum quantity?
Our minimum is 50 folders. Most NJ professional service firms order 100–500 for a proposal season. If you're equipping a sales team of 10 with a full year's worth of presentation materials, 250–500 is the right range.
What file format and dimensions do you need?
Submit as a flat (open) layout at full unfolded dimensions, since the file is large because it includes the front cover, back cover, and interior panels in a single spread. CMYK, 300 DPI, with 0.125" bleed on the outer edges. Avoid designing over the pocket and spine areas. Our templates show exact placement of folds, pockets, and slits.
How long does printing take?
5–7 business days after proof approval. Presentation folders require die-cutting, scoring, and assembly beyond flat printing. Rush is available on smaller quantities. Call us at 908.232.7770.
