Which paper stock is right for you?

Every stock prints full color on both sides. The difference is weight, feel, and the impression it leaves.

Classic Gloss finish

Classic Gloss

14pt gloss-coated

The professional standard

Clean, bright, crisp. Colors pop and photos look sharp. The coating resists fingerprints and light moisture, so it holds up in a wallet for months.

Best for: Realtors, contractors, and pros who hand out cards at meetings and events.

Ballpoint ink does not write well on gloss. Pick Matte or Soft Touch if clients write on the back.

Premium Matte finish

Premium Matte

16pt matte

Shine-free, easy to read

Thicker than gloss with no glare under office lighting. The flat finish reads as understated confidence and works well for text-heavy designs.

Best for: Healthcare, legal, and finance. Anyone who wants a premium feel without shine.

Writeable surface, ideal if clients jot appointments or referral codes on the back.

Soft Touch finish

Soft Touch

16pt soft-touch laminate

Impossible not to notice

A velvet-soft coating over 16pt stock. The tactile effect stops conversations and photographs beautifully, so people hold onto it instead of tossing it.

Best for: Creative businesses, realtors, and restaurants that want premium felt before a word is read.

A premium upgrade. Worth it when the first impression matters most.

32pt double-thick

Ultra-Thick

32pt double-thick

The card nobody throws away

Twice as thick as standard. When someone takes it, they feel the weight, and they remember it. Reserved for when the card itself is the message.

Best for: Luxury real estate and financial advisors, where the card is a brand statement.

Typically ordered in smaller quantities. Ask us about pricing.

Business cards that actually get used

The businesses that get the most from their cards have one thing in common: the card is part of a system.

Real Estate

The card that gets kept

At showings and open houses, your card is the leave-behind that turns a handshake into a callback. Thick stock signals you take your business as seriously as their sale.

Pro tip

Order 500 to 1,000 at a time and put a QR code to your listings on the back.

Home Services & Trades

The card that earns repeat calls

Leave one on the unit you serviced. Hand one to every neighbor who asks. A sturdy card survives a tool belt and keeps your number on the fridge long after the job.

Pro tip

A QR code to your booking page turns a saved card into a booked job.

Restaurants & Retail

The card guests take home

On the counter or tucked with the check, your card is the reminder that brings people back. A card in a wallet outlasts any digital ad.

Pro tip

Add your hours and a QR code to your menu or a loyalty offer on the back.

What Makes L&B Business Cards Different

There are dozens of ways to print a business card. Here's why NJ businesses keep coming back to us.

50Years

Half the price, no corner cut

L&B business cards start at $22 for 100, roughly half what Moo or a specialty online printer charges for the same 14pt Gloss stock. We print volume at our Branchburg, NJ facility and pass the savings directly to you. The price difference isn't because we cut corners. It's because we've been doing this since 1974 and we know how to run a tight operation.

FreeReview

A set of expert eyes on every order

When you order from a national online printer, your file goes into a queue. Nobody looks at it. L&B Printing reviews every single order before it goes to press. We check your bleed area, safe zone, font embedding, logo resolution at actual card scale, and whether the layout will generate a callback or just look professional. If something is off, we call you before we print. That's how it's been done here since the beginning.

NJLocal

A real shop, a real phone call

185 Industrial Pkwy, Branchburg, NJ 08876. Walk in, call, or email and a real person picks up. If you need cards for an event on Thursday, call us Monday morning. We've accommodated tighter timelines than that. Local pickup is always available. And if something isn't right when the box arrives, you call the same number and we fix it. No ticket system, no chatbot, no 72-hour response window.

3

Free Design Review

Design guide

How to design a card that gets called

A great business card is not about cramming in everything. It is about making one move easy. Five things we have learned in 50 years of printing them.

Give it one clear job

A card is not a brochure. Decide the single thing you want someone to do next (call, book, visit) and design everything around it. One job, done well, beats five competing for attention.

Make your number impossible to miss

Your phone, email, and website should be the easiest things to read on the card. If someone has to squint to find your number, you have lost the call before it starts.

Put the back to work

The back is free real estate. A QR code to your booking page, menu, or listings turns a card sitting in a wallet into an action. So does a short offer or a list of what you do.

Give it room to breathe

Keep text and logos 0.125 inch inside the edge and resist filling every corner. White space reads as confidence. A clean card looks more expensive than a crowded one.

Match the stock to the moment

Handing cards out by the hundred at events? Classic gloss. Closing a high-end client? Soft touch, painted edge, or 32pt. How the card feels is part of the message before a word is read.

Not sure it is working? Every order includes a free design review. A real person checks your layout, contrast, and contact info before anything prints.

The L&B Promise

If we make a printing error, we reprint your order at no charge. No forms, no delays, no argument. We've been standing behind our work since 1974. That's not a policy. That's a habit.

Questions before you order? (908) 232-7770. Mon–Fri 8am–5pm EST. We answer.

What Our Customers Say

I hand out my L&B cards at every open house and closing. I ran out at a showing last month. That's never happened with my old printer. The quality makes people hold onto them instead of tossing them.

Terri G.

Coldwell Banker Realty, Bedminster NJ

My techs leave a card on the HVAC unit after every service call. Three referrals this month came from cards taped to furnaces we serviced a year ago. The thick stock holds up. They don't look like junk.

Dave K.

Local HVAC Company, Central NJ

We stack the cards at the front desk and guests take them home. Had someone call for a group booking who found our number from a card they'd kept in their wallet for months. Worth every penny.

Frequently asked questions

How much do business cards cost?

L&B Printing business cards start at $26 for 250 cards ($0.10 per card) and drop to $0.05 per card at 1,000, the most popular order size for NJ professionals. The per-piece cost falls significantly at 500, 1,000, and 2,500 quantities. Every order includes free shipping and a free design review, so the price you see is the price you pay.

What sizes do you offer for business cards?

Standard (3.5" × 2") is by far the most common and fits every card holder and wallet. Square (2.5" × 2.5") makes a strong first impression for creative and lifestyle businesses. Mini (2.5" × 1.5") is a conversation starter, unexpected and memorable. We also do custom sizes on request.

What paper stock will make the best impression?

14pt Gloss is the professional standard for NJ business cards: solid weight, clean finish, holds up in a pocket or wallet. 16pt Matte is a step up: thicker feel, no glare, easy to read in any light. Soft Touch Matte is our most popular premium upgrade. It feels like velvet in hand and photographs beautifully. One detail worth knowing: gloss and UV finishes resist ballpoint ink, so if clients write on the back (appointment times, referral codes), choose Matte or Soft Touch. Our 32pt Extra Thick is the most tactile option we offer.

Can I get rounded corners?

Yes. Rounded corners are available on all paper stocks and sizes. They give a polished, modern look and hold up better in a wallet, since the corners don't dog-ear the way square corners can. There's a small per-order charge.

What's the minimum quantity and how should I plan my order?

Our minimum is 100 cards. Most professionals in NJ order 500–1,000 at a time. 1,000 cards typically last a year for a moderately active networker. The per-piece price drops substantially at 500, 1,000, and 2,500. If you're within 6 months of running out, it almost always makes sense to order the next tier up.

How should I format my design file?

3.5" × 2" at 300 DPI minimum, CMYK color mode, with 0.125" bleed on all sides. Keep all important text and logos at least 0.125" inside the trim line. Closer than that and they may get cut off. PDF, AI, and PSD all work. If you're not sure your file is print-ready, our free design review will catch any issues.

How long does printing take?

3–5 business days after proof approval. Need cards for a trade show or event? Call us at 908.232.7770. We can usually accommodate tight timelines.

Why order from L&B Printing instead of an online printer?

L&B Printing has been producing business cards for NJ businesses since 1974. When you order online from a national printer, your file goes into a queue, and nobody looks at it until the press run is done. At L&B, every order gets a free design review before we print: we check your bleed, safe zone, font embedding, and whether your layout will actually generate a callback. If something is off, we call you. That's a 50-year habit you don't get from an automated print-on-demand service.

What if something is wrong with my order?

The L&B Promise: if we make a printing error on our end, we'll reprint your order at no charge. In practice, it rarely gets that far. Our free design review process catches virtually every issue before we go to press. We stand behind every job. Call us at 908.232.7770 if you ever have a concern.
